Victoria has been asked to provide a Men’s Eight and Men’s Coxless Four
for crews competing from New Zealand for the Youth Cup to be held in

Australian Underage and
Youth Fundraising
To help raise funds to support Victorian underage and youth
athletes selected to compete internationally, a number of exciting
initiatives are fast approaching. These include the Rowing
Victoria Luncheon with guest speaker Peter Antonie on the 27th
of June, wine available for purchase from the Sticks
Winery range, and a number of ebay auctions. Auction items will
include a Concept 2 ergometer and signed AFL jerseys from clubs including
Hawthorn and Richmond.

regret, Mercantile Rowing Club advises of the passing of its esteemed and
loved Vice President Bill “Spiv” White who died on 3rd June 2010 aged 86
years. A Mercantile President’s Luncheon will be held in his memory.

Australia Eyes World Cup
Success
The Australian Senior
A Rowing Team departs Australia this Sunday (13 June) to compete in two
World Cup events in Europe.
The 39-person
team will compete at World Cup 2 in Munich, Germany (18-20 June) and
World Cup 3 in Lucerne, Switzerland (9-11 July).
