2010-11 Regatta Calendar
The draft regatta calendar for the 2010-11 regatta
season has been released, as well as an expression of interest form
should you wish to apply to host a regatta.
This expression of interest form must be returned to Rowing Victoria by
Monday 7 June 2010. Clubs/Associations expressing interest in hosting a
regatta will be advised by Thursday 17 June of the outcome.

Under 21 Youth Cup 2010
 Nominations for
the Victorian Youth Cup team for 2010 are now open. The event takes place
at the Sydney International Regatta Centre in Penrith, NSW.

Rowing Victoria Masters State
Championships
Rowing Victoria hosted
the 2010 Masters State Championships at Nagambie Lakes Regatta Centre in
near perfect conditions over the weekend. Almost 300 athletes vied for
their place on the podium on a sunny and still Nagambie course.
Congratulations
to our newest State Champions and to all medal winners. Unclaimed championship
Medals can be collected from the Rowing Victoria Offices.

James Bruce Tomkins has been around a
while. His international career began in 1985 when he jumped straight
into Australia’s top eight as a 19-year-old.
By the age of 20 Tomkins was
already a World Champion. The momentum didn’t stop there. In 1988
Tomkins lined up at his first Olympic Games, Seoul. This would be the
first of six Olympic Game appearances. Still in the eight, Tomkins’
crew finished fifth.
James Tomkins is the
fourth of five finalists to be announced for this year’s Thomas Keller
Medal.
