Please remember that to become an official you must:
- Participate in a Level 1 BRO Course and complete the required booklet.
- Complete 4 different physical elements at a regatta; control, start marshal, bank umpire and judge.
Note regarding Physical Elements: These must be signed off by a Level 2 umpire (on your RV Umpiring License Card) and completed within 12 months from the date of this course. Once you have completed all elements and returned your information to the RV office, your accreditation is valid for 4 years.
** If you do not complete the physical elements and return your signed RV Umpiring License Card to the RV Office within 12 months of your course, you will be required to attend another course before officiating at a regatta as a Level 1.
