The Rowing Victoria Concept 2 Indoor Rowing Tri-series is part of the Row for your life initiative set up by Rowing Victoria and Concept 2 to introduce the sport of Indoor Rowing into the community and to demonstrate how Indoor Rowing can be used to encourage physical activity and develop and improve mental and physical health.

  • The Tri Series will be run over 3 races in the lead up to the Australian Indoor Rowing Championships.
  • Prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in all race and age categories. The master’s category will be based on a handicapping system.
  • A leader’s jersey will be awarded to the 2000m race leaders in all age group categories. In order to obtain the leaders jersey you must compete at all 3 races.

RACE DISTANCES:

  • The 100m race is a race of pure strength
  • The 500m races is a good test of anaerobic strength
  • The 2000m race is the Olympic distance and one of strength and endurance.
  • The 4 x 500m relay is all about team work and quick changeovers.

ENTRY FEES:

The entry fee is $20.00 for as many individual races on the day as you like.

The 4 x 500m team event will be $45.00.

TECHNIQUE:

Correct technique is vital to avoid the risk of injury and also to maximise your potential.
