Rowing Victoria and the Victorian Pathway Program (VPP) works with clubs and schools to support all rowers and coaches on their journey from school to club rowing and beyond. Rowing Victoria supports gender, cultural and geographical diversity at all levels of Victorian and National representation.

The vision of the VPP is to identify and develop rowers who have the potential to be selected for Rowing Australia's National Training Centre's (NTCs).

This program’s mission is to:

  • Win the John Coates AC Cup
  • Win the Pathway Regatta
  • Have the largest representation on Australian teams
  • Make Victorian High Performance (HP) clubs the strongest pathway to the NTC’s

The program will do this via the following objectives:

  • Align the RA & RV Performance Pathway Program
  • Grow awareness and participation of the VPP
  • Improve Victorian success
  • Build sustainable service delivery

The VPP's several arms include:

  • Encouraging school rowers to engage with the club system and continue rowing after school.
  • Our Pathway Team which provides Under 18 rowers the opportunity to represent their state at the Pathway Regatta.
  • HP clubs & schools collaborating to identify the best Under 19 talent to attend RA Junior Trials, for their chance to represent AUS at the U19 World Champs.
  • HP clubs working together to support the strongest Under 21 and Under 23 athletes onto their respective national teams.
