How to add a new member

System Administrators can add new members to Rowing Manager via a New Member Request. After entering the new members name, gender and date of birth it is important to click on the Run Search link which will check whether the individual is already in the Rowing manager database.

Where the new member is already in the database, key details of their current record will be displayed together with a link to request transfer - click on it to initiate a transfer.  Otherwise proceed with the request, providing the new members contact details, state membership type and other requested information.

Please forward Proof of Age documentation, such as a photo of a drivers licence or passport, to Rowing Victoria via memberservices@rowingvictoria.asn.au. Once Rowing Victoria have received the Proof of Age documentation, they will review and approve the request if it is in order. On approval, Rowing Manager will email the Rowing Australia Terms & Conditions to the new member for acceptance.

More information, and help, is available here.

Next week I will cover how to request a Club Transfer.

Well wasn't last Saturday 26th November fun.  Dragged off the couch at 4:30am for the drive to Nagambie for the NTC TT#2 and the 2019 Head of the Goulburn.  Long day, but slept very well for the rest of the weekend.

But I will share some observations for participants in the NTC TT's and, indeed, for participants in Head Races generally:

  1. Don't drift across the start line, or row across the line as you move into the correct lane.  Timing starts when your bow ball crosses the line;
  2. Similarly, maintain your speed through to the finish line.  Dont ease off or glide into the finish line, because timing stops when your bow ball crosses the line;
  3. Get up to speed before you cross the line, rather than 30 or 40 metres later;
  4. And restrict your turn around times to 45 seconds max.  The average times time for participants completing the 5.7km TT was 53.1 seconds, and 49.3 seconds for those doing the 3.8 km TT

As Madascar's King Julien says, 'You got to move it, move it'.

Results for the NTC TT#2 are available here.   And the 2019 Head of the Goulburn results are available here.

And if you have any questions please shoot me an email via hexy@rowingvictoria.asn.au and I will see what the Rowing Victoria team have to say.
