NEW GRANTS FOR THOSE AFFECTED BY THE RECENT RESTRICTIONS

Sporting Club Grants

Community Sport and Active Recreation organisations that have been impacted by the July lockdown in Victoria can now apply for a funding lifeline courtesy of the Victorian Government’s Sporting Club Grants Program.

Grants of $2,000 are available to go towards irrecoverable costs due to cancelled events including cancellation fees for facilities, coaches and officials, as well as loss of perishable goods and booking fees.

Organisations are eligible to apply regardless of whether they received funding in the previous round.

This funding is only available to organisations that are not eligible to seek funding support from the Business Costs Assistance Program

Please review the program guidelines for more details and eligibility requirements.

Membership Renewal for 2021 - 2022

We are taking this opportunity to remind all clubs that you need to assign state memberships to your members in Rowing Manager.

This ensures that your members receive personal accident cover under the Rowing Victoria Insurance Program and benefit from Rowing Victoria's Maritime safety exemptions for pfd's.

This is part of the renewal of members for the new membership season which started on 1st July, 2021.

We also remind you that your members must have a competitive membership and need to have agreed to the Rowing Australia Terms and Conditions to be entered in regattas.

Remember to update your Club or School Office Bearers

We would appreciate Clubs and School’s updating details of their Office Bearers and other key roles in Rowing Manager preparatory to the 2021-22 season.

In Rowing Manager, click on Office Bearers & Contacts on the left hand menu bar under Club Administration to review and update your Club or Schools key contacts. Please also take the opportunity to review your System Administrators and Website Contacts details from the links also listed under Club Administration.

Do your children love sport and getting active? Does your family have a Health Care Card or Pensioner Concession Card? You may be eligible for up to $200 to put towards the cost of your child’s participation in sport and active recreation activities.

The Get Active Kids Voucher Program helps eligible families get their kids involved in organised sport and active recreation activities by reimbursing the cost of membership and registration fees, uniforms, and equipment. Eligible children may be able to receive up to $200 each.

Special consideration also applies for children named on their own Health Care Card or are residing in Care Services as well as temporary or provisional visa holders, undocumented migrants or international students.

Applications for vouchers in Round two of the Program now close at 5pm on Friday 30 July 2021
