Stormy conditions hamper racing on Day 2 in Sarasota

After the conclusion from Day 1 racing, we saw 3 of our Victorian under 23 athletes make it into A-finals. Congratulations to Ria Thompson (W1x) , Ben Canham and Mitchell Hooper (M4+) who made it straight through to the A-Finals on sunday the 28th.

Storms hampered Day Two of the 2019 World Rowing U23 Championships with racing suspended mid-way through the morning session and only resumed after lunch in Sarasota-Bradenton. U23 Men’s Eight will both contest repechages to make their A-Finals, while the U23 Men’s and Women’s Four progressed to the B-Finals. U23 Women’s Coxed Four finished third in their preliminary races and will race A-Finals on Saturday. U23 Men’s Coxed Four won their heat on Wednesday to progress straight to Saturday’s A-Final.

We wish all our Australian Under 23 Rowing Team a successful campaign, with a special mention to our Victorian athletes! Hoping to claim Victory in the up and coming A-finals this weekend!
