Good Luck to Australians racing in the Junior World Rowing Championships this weekend

This weekend we have the Junior World Championships being raced in Tokyo. We have six Victorians racing with five athletes in the Women's Junior Coxed Four and one athlete in Harry Fox in the Men's Junior Double Scull. 

Good luck to all of the team. We will be cheering for you!

Rowing VIctoria Hosting a Talent ID Day in Ballarat and Geelong! 

We will be hosting the event at Ballarat Wendouree Rowing Club for two sessions on the 14th August from 7:30 am to 10 am or an afternoon session from 3pm - 7pm. SSV Indoor Rowing Champs

The hugely successful SSV (School Sports Victoria) Indoor Rowing Champs is back for its second year and promises to be even bigger and better!

The event will be held on the 11th of October at Melbourne Girls College Yarra Boulevard, Richmond, Victoria. The annual event is aimed to give students who currently attend an SSV (school Sports Victoria) School the opportunity to compete in the sport of Indoor Rowing in both an enjoyable and competitive environment regardless of experience and ability. The day will commence with a welcoming address and technical session on the Rowing machines for all competitors which will be run by current World Indoor Rowing Record Holder and two time Olympic Silver Medallist Josh Dunkley-Smith.

All races will be connected to a projection system, creating a live virtual race, allowing spectators to cheer along.

My Row is a corporate and community initiative in conjunction with Rowing Victoria, North Melbourne Boxing & Fitness and My Room Children’s Cancer Charity to raise funds for ongoing critical research to help find 100% cure for childhood cancer.

Your challenge is to share with four team members, a single ergo over a marathon distance of 42.193 kms! This will be an exciting relay, tag-team approach, with quick changes between five team members. All funds raised will be donated to the Nine My Room Telethon and announced on Air on Thursday August 29 from 7.30pm. (donations over $5000)

Coxing Information Session at MUBC on 16 Sept 2019

Melbourne University Boat Club would like to invite all Beginner and Intermediate School and Club Coxswains (and coaches of coxswains) to a series of complimentary Coxing information sessions to be held at MUBC.

The primary purpose of these sessions is to increase safety on the Yarra for all, in addition to introducing the sport of rowing to Beginner Coxswains, and to increase the skills of Intermediate Coxswains.
