Level 3 Umpire Success at Nationals
Rowing Victoria congratulates Pollyanna (Polly) Harvey and Isobel McLeod on achieving their Level 3 Rowing Australia Umpire Licence at the 2026 Australian Rowing Championships at Lake Barrington. The Level 3 accreditation is Rowing Australia's highest national umpiring qualification, requiring candidates to complete an extensive written and oral examination prior to undergoing extensive practical assessment across multiple officiating roles during the championships.
Their achievement reflects not only their dedication and expertise, but also the strength of Victoria's umpire development program. Guided by mentors Rene Klupacs, David Grubits and Rod Florence, Polly and Isobel undertook a structured pathway that included examination preparation, race management training and on-water experience, beginning as State Technical Officers at the 2025 Australian Rowing Championships before completing their final assessment in 2026.
Rowing Victoria congratulates Pollyanna, Isobel and their mentors on this outstanding achievement and thanks the entire umpiring community for their ongoing commitment to ensuring rowing events are conducted safely, fairly and to the highest standard.
