WE’RE BACK INTO LOCKDOWN

LOCKDOWN FROM 8.00PM THURSDAY 5 AUGUST

Unfortunately, on the advice of the State’s public health team, the State’s back into lockdown for 7 days from 8.00pm on Thursday August 5 until 8.00pm on Thursday August 12.

Relevant to our community, the following opportunities and restrictions will apply until 8.00pm on Thursday August 12:

  • Rowing Clubs are closed; no access allowed. This means there is no access to social rooms, change rooms, boats and/ or gyms.
  • Exercise is allowed for up to two hours and with one other person, limited to five kilometres from home.
  • If an individual (or two) have easy access to their own scull, pair or double scull, and they comply with all remaining exercise restrictions, i.e. not traveling more than 5km from where they live and limiting exercise to no more than two hours in total, they may row for exercise.
  • With the clubs being closed, the safety management plans are not activated, and insurance is not available.
  • No Competitions allowed.

It is hoped this 6.0 lockdown lasts no more than a week.

If restrictions ease earlier, we will advise the community of the relevant opportunities.

Please continue to review the published exposure sites, their exposure windows, exposure Tiers and the indicated necessary action in efforts to keep the community safe.

With exposure sites likely through the state and our community this reiterates the importance to take caution and adhere to COVIDSafe protocols.

If you become knowingly exposed to the virus or end up attending any exposure sites, continue to follow public health advice and COVID-Safe hygiene practices.

Rowing Victoria will continue to monitor the situation and communicate with the community surrounding exposure sites and public health advice.

Stay safe, Stay Rowing!
